East Coast Airsoft Arena is Now Robinhood Adventure Park

Continuing the legacy of indoor airsoft in Maryland through expanded outdoor gameplay, community events, and the next chapter of East Coast Airsoft.

For years, East Coast Airsoft Arena served as a home for airsoft players throughout Bel Air and the surrounding Maryland region, bringing together new and experienced players through indoor gameplay, events, and a strong local community. While the indoor arena has closed, the spirit of the arena lives on through Robinhood Adventure Park — a larger outdoor facility designed to continue growing the airsoft community with expanded fields, new experiences, and regular events for players of all skill levels.

If you’re searching for East Coast Airsoft Arena, the indoor facility has transitioned into Robinhood Adventure Park — now hosting regular airsoft events, walk-on games, and community experiences in Maryland.

The Story of East Coast Airsoft Arena

East Coast Airsoft Arena first opened in September 2021 and quickly became one of Maryland’s notable indoor airsoft locations, created to give players in Harford County and the surrounding region a dedicated place to play close to home.  At the time, there were very few options for indoor airsoft in Harford County and none located directly in the Bel Air area, making the arena a unique local destination for both new and experienced players.

For years, customers visiting East Coast Airsoft’s retail store had expressed a desire for something new, exciting, and local — a space where the community could gather regularly without traveling long distances across the state. The arena quickly became known throughout Maryland’s indoor airsoft community for its welcoming environment, thoughtful layout, and focus on player experience.

Rather than simply creating another indoor field, the goal was to build a space where casual players, private parties, and competitive teams could all enjoy high-energy gameplay in a comfortable and accessible setting. During the summer months, the facility became especially popular for its climate-controlled environment, offering a cool escape while maintaining fast-paced action.

Beyond gameplay itself, the arena fostered a strong and tight-knit community. Regular walk-on players, private events, and organized tournaments brought together thousands of players over the years. Local speedsoft teams formed and grew within the arena, and players helped shape parts of the field — including a nearly full-size speedsoft layout designed collaboratively with the community. Special events like cookouts, tournaments, and themed game days helped turn the arena into more than just a place to play; it became a gathering point for friendships and shared experiences.

Behind the scenes, the arena also helped modernize the local airsoft experience through online booking, digital waivers, and streamlined event management systems. Safety and accessibility were always a priority, including lower FPS limits compared to many indoor facilities, helping create an environment that felt more welcoming for newer players and reassuring for parents.

Why East Coast Airsoft Arena Closed

The final chapter of East Coast Airsoft Arena came on August 31, 2024, during the arena’s first and only overnight “Lock-In Bash” — a memorable sendoff event that many players still talk about today.

The closure was ultimately driven by circumstances outside of the community’s control. The building housing the arena was sold to new owners, who transitioned the space into a different type of business. While the possibility of relocation had always existed, the timing created an unexpected turning point that led to the next evolution of the East Coast Airsoft journey.

Rather than viewing the closure as an ending, it became an opportunity to move forward and expand the vision into something even bigger.

From Indoor Arena to Robinhood Adventure Park

Robinhood Adventure Park represents the next step in a long-term vision: creating an all-in-one destination combining retail, indoor, and outdoor gameplay into a unified experience. Now operating as a Maryland outdoor airsoft and paintball field serving Harford County and the surrounding region, Robinhood allows the community to continue growing while expanding into new experiences.

While the indoor arena allowed players to connect and build strong relationships, moving outdoors opened entirely new possibilities. Robinhood Adventure Park now offers:

  • Larger-scale airsoft operations and special events
  • Expanded outdoor maps alongside arena-style gameplay layouts
  • Paintball and Low-Impact Paintball experiences
  • Night games and seasonal events
  • Large swap meets and community gatherings

Much of the original arena community has transitioned to the new location, bringing the same energy and camaraderie into a larger environment. Players searching for East Coast Airsoft Arena today can now find regular walk-on airsoft games, private parties, and major events hosted at Robinhood Adventure Park.

East Coast Airsoft Arena now continues as part of Robinhood Adventure Park, carrying forward the same ownership, community, and mission under a new and expanded outdoor format.

The Legacy Lives On

East Coast Airsoft Arena was more than just a building — it was a milestone in building a strong local airsoft community in Maryland. From its early days through its final events, thousands of players walked through its doors, forming friendships and creating lasting memories.

The arena represented the next step after years of growth, beginning with online sales, then a small store in Churchville, and eventually a full retail location in Bel Air.  Many players were first introduced to the game through the East Coast Airsoft retail store in Bel Air, which continues to support the local community with equipment, repairs, and expert guidance. Opening the arena fulfilled a long-held dream of creating a place where players could gather, compete, and belong.

Today, that same spirit continues at Robinhood Adventure Park, with the same mission: bring players together, create unforgettable experiences, and keep growing the local airsoft community.
